Have your say! How to help SMEs beeing more resource efficient?
The European Commission has opened a public consultation to get to know from SMEs and business support organizations what are the most effective measures to help SMEs from all sectors becoming more resource efficient.
For the purpose of this consultation, resource efficiency is to be understood in a wide sense: it encompasses the efficient use of energy (including renewable energy), water and other natural resources, materials, the minimisation of waste, the selling of scrap material to another company and recycling.
The feedback the European Commission will gather will be used to shape a "Green action plan for SMEs" that will propose specific support measures to promote resource efficiency in SMEs and help them sell internationally their green products/services. The action plan will also identify which actors are best placed to help SMEs in this process.
